Architect Leiper was responsible for striking designs, his most famous being the Templeton’s Carpet Factory on Glasgow Green. His works are part of the Arts and Crafts Movement and the Gothic Revival style.

Originally erected as a private residence, Braeholm gained category B listing status in 1993. It has had several changes of use over the years. Recently it was in use as a maternity hospital then a residential facility and community support centre for Aggie Weston’s Royal Sailors Mission.

Notables born in Braeholm include artist Stephen Conroy, who along with Peter Howson is part of the “New Glasgow Boys” who came to prominence in the 1980s.

Braeholm’s original decorative panelled hall, now featuring art of the New Glasgow Boys and other Helensburgh artists, provides a dramatic entrance to six apartments. The remaining six apartments benefit from their own private entrances.

Within the bathrooms basins will be wall hung with chrome bottle traps. WC’s where possible will also be wall hung. Separate glazed showering areas utilise low profile shower trays and sliding screens with stylish SMART exposed thermostatic valves. NOKEN baths will include mixer showers.

Chrome NOKEN brassware paired with polished tile trim and chrome towel warmers create contemporary rooms to unwind and relax in.

The wet areas of each bathroom will have full height tiling with the areas behind sanitaryware tiled to half height. In addition, bath panels will also be fully tiled.
